Clap Hands

factories and smoke

onsdag, januar 07, 2004

so today in Pessalato's minimalism class we took a trip to the Kemper to hear Denzil Hurley speak. see herebecause he's a minimalist, etc. and yeah. I don't know what it is, but like yesterday, I could not help but drift in and out of consciousness the whole time (cool euphamism for sleep) until the last few minutes or so of the slide show. but i don't know. I just don't think minimalism is my kind of art. yet at least. cause I don't understand it. and a lot of the painting just kept looking the same (see: those boards from kindergarten, where you strung rubber bands around the little pins sticking out of the boards....there were a lot of those) and yeah. His voice was just too calming I guess. I think by the end Pia and i both felt like two kids in church. oh, then the room started getting really hot and stuffy. yeah.
I think art is easy to make fun of and hard to truly appreciate.
(not for the most part)

god why is my right hand so cold?
haha i sound like a stoner

don't you love old people's houses? they're always so retro because you know they stopped being up to date in the 70's. and they always smell that one smell....
