oh yeah. and i had one of those long epic dreams. which including fighting a medieval-type battle on the large median of Ward Parkway. Hillary and I were the only girls who fought. taylor and caroline were like noble ladies who got to wear dresses. but hillary and I fought. and it was like, the Reds, the Greens and the Blues...and the Reds were like the Loyals or whatever, the bad guys. anyway. war is hell.
but the bad part of the dream was Taylor was like, "oh yeah, and I owe you a coffee!"
and she's out of town too! so i'll never get my free mocha!
and i'm still so pissed!!!!

so lets talk Gay rights. as you know, a lot has happened in the past week. Plus, it's Gay pride month, and all that other great stuff. If you're gay, you can get married in Ontario, and you can...oh...how do i say, "get intimate" in Texas. Plus a gay what is it, Archbishop Chancellor or something in the Anglican church.
anyway. i just think that's great.
so my point is, which i guess has nothing to do with the aforementioned points, is that welll wait i don't want to get to my point yet. As some of you know, I'm involved with a group that is and Anti-violence organization to stop violence against LGBT youth. David's part of it, becuase David is damn cool. Anyway, our big "Event" is on August 25th, so things are (or need to be) coming together. If any of you want to become involved, please tell me. don't be afraid. We're fine, but it is a project for youth like us, so it's great if you could be involved.
And if you really are too lazy or dont' want to do it, well I am disappointed. but if you could donate money at all...or give me the names of any organization you know that would be willing to donate money, tell me please. We need money for t shirts and buttons. and a fake brick wall.
If you want, I can put you on the email list.

so my dinner was my mom and dad and aunt and uncle talking about their life pre-80's. god it was so great listening to them. how my dad got in fights and was a jerk and how my uncle lived in Arizona. I don't know. maybe it's just me. you just forget that there are other people...who have all lived their lives and met people and had ex girlfriends and problems and yeah. and to hear it about your parents, the people you've lived with all your life but then you realize you don't know anything about them. As uh....looks like "Rachel Lab" wrote on the last page of Sam's copy of On the Road, "Diversity everywhere + that's life. Search for Dean's Dad connection w/our own roots, own source of richness." whatever that means. it's gotta mean something, i mean, she wrote it on the last page. and my mom told an insanely funny story about something my dad once said. i cried it was so funny.

eh. so now i'm bored. but i've done my daily rituals i think, which is 1) checking my email 2) riding my bike and 3) drinking cream soda. haha and hating myself could be part of that too. yeah i laugh.
anyway. so my trip to Canada was pretty fantastic. even though the drinking age is 18 and the irony of it killed me. ha. look at me, I say "Canada." like i saw the whole country. everyone has a tendancy to do that though. I only saw Toronto and Montreal. both lovely. The best part was the suite. fucking a. all my life, when everyone else's parents were doctors or businessmen, I had a librarian mom. Well that librarian was president of ACRL and we got a MOTHERFUCKING SUITE. it was so nice. i had my own room with a huge view of downtown Toronto. and we had like a hot tub with jets and we got a lot of free food.
But i partook in other (partook?) Canadian activities, like watching Kids in the Hall, and Much Music, and drinking ginger ale. The Much Music video awards actually took place a couple blocks from my hotel. so yeah, i was THIS CLOSE to Sean Paul.
speaking of music, this is Canadian radio: Simple Plan, Linkin Park, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavine. i swear! oh and Sean Paul. while my respect for everything Canadian increased, my dislike for Avril Lavine similary blossomed. I can't stand her. She has no personality, and everything she does just pisses me off. like how she only does one thing with her hair.
but no. there's a lot of good music from Canada, or at least they appreciate some good stuff. maybe i just like big cities.
But Sloan is from Canada! which is nice cause they sing my favorite song in the world. right now.
but yeah. go to Canada. it's like getting free money.

but i had a quite beautiful evening avec mon amie. we're the best highway navigators ever. no shit. we get lost, we get back on track, buster. aw it was so pretty tonight. Kansas city is just so damn pretty sometimes.
did you know i was going to do something on the blog for the end of the year ...i measure my years by school i guess. not that i'm the only one who does that but whatev. anyway i was going to do something like to Cap it all offf, sum up this year in terms of everything. but i didn't. I could say it's too personal, but in all truth i'm too lazy.
you know what's funny? I got an A+ in physics this quarter but a C on the final. my other grades were equally amusing. ask me if ya care. wait, what am I saying? hahah like grades NEVER EVER come up with my friends. hahah yeah i'll bring it up regardless. anyway.
